2 minutes Installation. The MC-599 is a very simple structure with only 5 parts, making it very easy and quick to assemble.

It is very suggested to apply the GUY LINE ROPES to prevent the antenna from tipping over and damaging the whips, or more dangerously, causing a safety accident.

  • How to adjust the whip of the MC-599 antenna for operation in each band？

    First, always start pulling from the thinnest end of the whip. Here are the suggested whip lengths for each band:
    50MHz: pull out 2 sections+10cm            28MHz: pull out 5 sections+15cm
    24MHz: pull out 6 sections+15cm            21MHz: pull out 7 sections+25cm
    18MHz: pull out 9 sections+10cm            14MHz: pull out 12 sections+7cm

  • When installing antennas, can 40-meter inverted V antenna be installed together with telescopic whip tuned to 20 meters?

    Yes, you can do that. However, you need to adjust the length of the whip and not fully rely on the marking system

  • What is the quality of the MC-599 whip?

    Regarding the product quality, each section of every whip is carefully printed with measurements and undergoes stretching checks. Very low probability of quality issues. Therefore, the possibility of a quality issue is very low. Additionally, we conduct a final inspection before shipment to ensure everything is in proper condition.
    The whip has 14 sections and retracts to 53.5CM.

  • How to use MC-599 whip correctly and precautions？

    Here are the correct usage instructions and precautions for the whip:
    1. The whips should first be attached to the antenna before extending them. After installing the antenna, try extending the whips again.
    2. When extending the whip, start extending the thinnest section first, and gradually move on to the thicker sections, finishing with the thickest section.
    3. When collapsing the whip, start with the thickest section, then move to the thinner sections, and finally collapse the thinnest section.
    4. Note: The whip is the most brittle part of the entire antenna system and needs to be properly protected. （When installing the guy rope for the 599 antenna, be careful not to let the 599 fall over, as this could damage the whip.）
